Deliria Getting Started Guide

Deliria is Linesway’s infinite, cube-free 3D sandbox for Windows on Steam (app 3725650). It is out. Steam lists 2 September 2026 as the store date. This page is the first hour you should actually play, not a boss tour and not a recap of every trailer biome. If you need the full tutorial map, return to the guides hub. If you are still on the buy screen, read the review for Mixed early Steam notes, then come back here after install.

You do not snap cubes onto a grid. You cut smooth terrain with Unreal Engine 5 VoxelWeaver, hang ramps and overhangs, and dig caves by hand. Combat is a character-action loop with swords, guns, bows, and magic. Marketing still sells seventeen biomes, ten NPCs, nine bosses, two invasions, more than five hundred items, and 71 Steam achievements. Your first hour should ignore most of that list.

Install before you hero

Open the Steam store page and install the base game, not only the soundtrack DLC. Launch price is $19.99, with a 10% intro cut to $17.99. English is the listed interface, full audio, and subtitle language. There is no Roblox client, no console SKU in public materials, and no promo code that skips the first night.

Check system requirements before a long session. Steam’s table: Windows 10 64-bit; minimum Pentium III 2.0 GHz-class CPU, 4 GB RAM, Shader Model 5, DirectX 11, 4 GB storage; recommended Pentium 4-class 2.0 GHz (the store’s “Intel Premium 4” line is a typo), 8 GB RAM, Shader Model 6, DirectX 12, 4 GB storage. Steam Deck compatibility is listed as unknown. Then walk the launch checklist so GPU drivers are not the surprise. Keep official links nearby for Discord and store news.

Hour-one loop

Playtests and the five-year development video show a small survival grammar even when the camera is showing off biomes:

  1. Put a pickaxe, axe, sword, torch, and apple where you can reach them. Observed hotbars also held magic, a sunflower, a hammer, and ammo. Slot language lives on controls.
  2. Carve a hole you can see out of, not a grave. Torches matter once rain, blight, or a dungeon mouth eats the light.
  3. Close a house. Marketing is blunt: build a house and someone moves in. That is the seed of a town, covered with building and the NPC page.
  4. Do not pick a boss fight because the name is famous. Night one is food, light, and walls.

If you want a mechanical identity before you wander, skim playstyles and the combat guide so style rank is not a surprise the first time a slime pack finds you.

Launch-night honesty (short version)

Early Steam reviews on a small sample sat Mixed. Players reported aggressive starter slimes, wonky building, and a handful of world bugs — sleep softlocks, respawns through walls, cave or night damage that does not let up, flying without wings, placed blocks turning to dirt, falling through the world. This page will not turn those reports into fake patch notes. Treat them as a reason to save often, keep a torch line, and read the review if a session feels broken rather than hard.

The first-hour answer to a mean slime pack is still a house, not Eye of Deliria. Do not boss-rush because a YouTube thumbnail dared you.

Biomes you may walk into too early

Seventeen biomes are the advertised spread: forests, deserts, frozen ridges, ruins, plus weather and corruption flavors playtests actually showed — rain, snow, blight, mushrooms, dungeon spaces, and Lovecraftian ground. The biome tier list is for later ranking. For a first session, treat blight, dungeon brick, and anything with too many eyes as a turn-around, not a challenge rating.

The development video walks rain, snow, blight, a mushroom pocket, and a gold hunt in snow before a Prince Petri attempt. That is a trailer-shaped route, not a mandatory speedrun. If you copy it, take mining seriously: gold ore is a real early ask, quartz shows up, and a furnace is how ore becomes a plan. Some walls print Requires KeyObsidian to break. Dungeon material in playtests would not mine at all.

The Necronomicon is a published tracker for finds, kills, unmet entries, and missions. Open it when you have a roof. Do not treat it as a first-hour to-do list. The sealed dark second dimension is a later puzzle, not a spawn-point tour.

Combat without a boss appointment

You will fight something. Swords felt worse in one playtest until the aim assist on melee clicked. Guns, bows, and magic sit on the same fantasy. The HUD can show HP in a form like 120/200, red hearts, blue star/mana icons, and a style letter that can climb to SSS with extra damage. Learn that language on the combat guide before you treat bosses as a checklist.

Named bosses you may hear on day one: Eye of Deliria, Prince Petry / Petri (playtesters compared it to a king slime), Yoggoth, and Leapus / Lepus. Steam still sells nine Lovecraftian gods and, in older copy, eight epic bosses. Do not invent the rest. Invasions are a separate problem: Blood Moon and Hastur are the two named nights. Hosting friends is multiplayer — decide whether world PvP stays off before someone dies to a teammate instead of a slime.

Creative mode is not the tutorial

Creative mode can spawn mobs and bosses onto teams so they fight each other. The development video parks Prince Petri on team one and Eye of Deliria on team two. That is a sandbox toy and a way to watch telegraphs. It is not a substitute for a house, a torch line, or food on the bar.

Mounts, pets, summons, grapple, and wings are published features, not hour-one goals. If you are flying without wings, that is a bug report, not a tech tree — park it on the review and keep carving.

A good first session should end with a carved shelter, a visible torch line, food on the bar, a note about nearby ore, and a decision about whether PvP stays off. Use building if the house still looks like a pit. Use mining if you already have gold and no furnace. The first honest hour in a live Deliria world is still not a boss rush.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is Deliria playable on Steam?

Yes. Steam lists 2 September 2026 as the store date. Install from app 3725650, then use this page. Date history is on release timing.

What should I do in the first hour?

Tools, food, torches, and a closed house. Then mining for gold and building so an NPC can move in.

Do I need to fight a boss on night one?

No. Read bosses for the named roster, but the first night is shelter. Invasions are a later town problem.

Where are the official channels?

Steam app 3725650 and the Discord linked from official links. There are no promo codes.

What PC specs should I check?

Start with system requirements and the launch checklist. Minimum is Windows 10, 4 GB RAM, DirectX 11, 4 GB storage.

Should I worry about launch bugs in hour one?

Lightly. Keep a torch line, save often, and skip a boss rush. The honest bug-versus-fantasy writeup is the review; HUD notes are on controls.
